Better recreational spaces in San Salvador
In May, World Urban Parks’s CEO, Luis Romahn, and Parques de Mexico’s director, María Isabel Velázquez, visited El Salvador to learn more about the parks in the capital, San Salvador.
Adelaide National Park City Initiative
The city of Adelaide in South Australia was invited to be a National Park City in December 2021 at the World Urban Parks Congress. Adelaide National Park City (ANPC) covers all of Greater Adelaide, including Salisbury in the north, Aldinga to the south, Burnside in the east, and Grange to the west, plus the city centre.
World Urban Parks Board Vacancies & Nominations
The World Urban Parks Annual General Meeting will be taking place this coming August 2022. A number of open positions are available to the Board of Directors for a term.

World Urban Parks in partnership with the National Association of Parks and Recreation of Mexico, present for the first time in the Americas the World Urban Parks Congress (WUP Congress 2022) .
Monterrey will host the global event for urban parks this 2022
After 2 years of pandemic, WUP congress returns with strength and announces the official date of the annual event. From November 14 to 18, 2022, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, will host city leaders, park professionals, and citizens committed to public space.
