WUP Europe Congress will focus on the future of Urban Green Infrastructure

Discover how Resilient Design and Multi-functional Green Infrastructure incorporating Nature Based Solutions can transform Cities

From September 14th to 17th 2022, the World Urban Parks Europe Congress, organized by World Urban Parks in association with the GaLaBau Trade Fair and supported by GALK e.V. Germany and Hortis, France will take place in Nuremberg, Germany.  GaLaBau is the leading international trade fair for the design, construction, and maintenance of urban, open, and green spaces.

The World Urban Parks Europe Congress will focus on the future of Urban Green Infrastructure, planning, construction, and maintenance.  For four days we will host keynote speakers, specialized content sessions, and a commercial exhibition with more than 1,400 companies in the industry.

World Urban Parks (WUP) champions urban park outcomes for Human Health & Wellbeing, City Livability, Place-making, Biodiversity Conservation and Access to Urban Green, and provides strong membership services by connecting, leveraging and supporting diverse memberships across the international urban parks, open space and recreation community and allied sectors.

This year’s WUP Europe Congress Theme is Greater Greener Cities, with sub-themes including:

  • Green Blue Infrastructure – Policies & Planning
  • Urban Green Design Practices 
  • Nature Based Solutions for a Climate Resilient Urban Future 
  • Citizen Participation in Urban Greening
  • Post Covid Approach to provision of Urban Green Space
