Greater Sydney Parklands
Joshua French
Joshua French is Chief Executive of Greater Sydney Parklands which brings together some of Sydney’s most iconic urban parks.
As a horticulturalist and landscape architect with over 20 years’ experience in both public and private sectors.
Joshua has spent his career embedded in the diverse landscapes and communities of Greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
Joshua is passionate about design excellence, community and stakeholder engagement, and the creation and management of sustainable public spaces and parklands.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
Lindsay Banffy
Lindsay Banffy is Acting Director Community Engagement and Partnerships for Greater Sydney Parklands (GSP).
Leading media, communications, community engagement, marketing, major events, education and fundraising.
Lindsay’s work has been instrumental in the development of Greater Sydney Parklands’ Consultation and Engagement Framework, and community trustee boards which has improved how GSP listens to and engages with diverse local park communities and visitors, ensuring current and future community needs can be met.
She is a passionate advocate for parks and open space leading corporate media and communications to promote GSP’s programs, policies, and events across the parklands estate.
Lindsay has a background in journalism having worked as a radio presenter and producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) for 10 years; and has experience in public relations and social media management for City of Sydney, Ogilvy and Deutsche Messe.
Nanthini Elamgovan
Nanthini is the Director / Parks South East, National Parks Board Singapore.
The National Parks Board aims to create the best living environment in Singapore through excellence in nature conservation, greenery and recreation, and veterinary care, in partnership with the community.
Several nation-wide programmes have been implemented to align with this mission, including the OneMillionTrees movement, digitalisation of park management processes and enhancing community and therapeutic gardening opportunities across parks.
Nanthini is the Director of Parks overseeing the parks and park connectors in the South-East region of Singapore. With more than a decade of experience in park management and community stewardship, Nanthini continues to champion green space transformation to make Singapore a ‘City in Nature’.
