Commenting on this partnership
Mustafa Gültekin GÖKGÜL, CEO of Athena Fuarcılık A.Ş., said, “We are delighted to be partnering with WUP on this exciting initiative to bring their expertise and global perspectives to Istanbul and excited by the synergies of hosting it alongside LIF 2023, the region’s most important showcase for the professional landscaping and horticultural sector.”
He went on to say, “This will offer to those involved in city and town planning across Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, with a convenient and highly effective opportunity to not only learn from the experts as they talk about the latest trends and share their experiences and visions, but also to network with fellow urban green space planners and maintenance professionals.”
Commenting on behalf of WUP
WUP as an international organisation representing the urban parks, open space and recreation sector, CEO Luis Romahn said, “We are thrilled to be able to join forces for the urban parks of Turkey and the whole region. For WUP it is very important to promote the values and benefits of our public spaces and the importance of their preservation and promotion. This relationship we recently initiated with LIF 2023 will allow us to make even more progress in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in the urban parks agenda. This is the perfect opportunity for all industry professionals to attend a specialized event of content, best practices and networking.”
LIF 2023, the second edition of the Istanbul International Landscaping, Landscape Materials, Ornamental Plants, Parks and Gardens Fair, will take place 16-18 November at the Istanbul Fair Centre, Istanbul. When first held last year, the event attracted some 100 exhibiting companies and over 2,800 trade visitors from the landscaping design, installation and maintenance sector, making it the largest and most comprehensive trade event for the region’s landscaping community.
With five months still to go, Athena Fuarcılık A.Ş. are reporting that as a result of last year’s success, they have seen significant increases in both the number of suppliers planning to exhibit and the amount of space being reserved for the display of the latest and most innovative landscaping and horticultural products and services.
More details of the WUP Symposium will be announced shortly
