How will local governments connect at ICLEI World Congress 2018?

Held every three years, the ICLEI World Congress assembles hundreds of local, regional and national governments, international agencies, representatives of the private sector, academics and researchers, community groups and other partners from around the world to steer the global sustainable development agenda by strengthening action taken in urban areas worldwide.

SAMGUS | 15-17 August, 2018

In 2018, SAMGUS will be hosting the quadrennial Nordic conference which traditionally has been hosted by its sister organizations in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, each year focusing on different relevant topics.

The conference‘s topics will cover nature, parks and green spaces, with an emphasis on an Icelandic perspective. The venue will be the Kaldalón hall in the Harpa Conference Centre, where the mornings will feature breakout sessions, while afternoons (on Wednesday and Thursday) will be devoted to field trips themed around each day‘s topic.

Registration is now open with early bird rates ending 15 May 2018. Included in the registration fee for participants: Attendance to all sessions, welcome reception at Reykjavík City Hall and lunches  & refreshments during the Congress.

Public Spaces and Places - Future Value, Trends & Global Views 17 - 19 September 2018  

Our institute will be hosting its annual Convention from Monday 17 September to Wednesday, 19 September 2018 in Durban.

We invite all parties who may be interested in presenting papers or case studies at the convention to send a summary of no more than 200 words to the IERM Secretariat by Thursday, 31 May 2018.

The Ninth international Cities for Mobility Congress will take place under the title "New mobility and the transformation of cities" on 17-19 June 2018 at Stuttgart City Hall. 

The event is addressed to municipal practitioners, decision makers, researchers, entrepreneurs and initiatives from civil society and combines presentations with practical activities, such as trainings, interactive workshops, excursions and contact forums. 

Over 250 decision makers, professionals and scientists from over 30 countries world-wide will meet in June at the 9th International Cities for Mobility Congress.

Conference in Helsingborg, Sweden | 12 April 2018

Public Parks and Gardens is the popular meeting place for private or public sector employees working with public parks and gardens. It offers inspiring lectures, exchanges of experiences and nice mingling, this time with the City of Helsingborg as the host. This years conference, the eleventh in the order, will focus on the theme: Dare to explore new approaches and new methods. How can we work with new touches and activities which attract curiosity and involvement among citizens? The lecturers come from Australia, Germany, France, Holland and Sweden.
