We wish to draw your attention to an event taking place next month in Tullamore, Ireland.  It is a one-day conference organised by the Irish Landscape Institute in partnership with the International Federation of Landscape Architecture (IFLA Europe), World Urban Parks Europe Region and Entente Florale Europe.  These three international organisations have through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), signed in 2017, recognised that they share many common values and objectives and agreed to cooperate on various initiatives such as information sharing. 

The proposed one-day conference is therefore an action in line with the spirit of the MOUs and is planned to coincide with the Entente Florale Awards presentation in Tullamore on the 22nd September 2018. There is also a technical tour programme for the 21st September

  • Details of a one-day conference on ‘Greening the Urban Environment’ on Thursday the 20th September. SAMGUS | 15-17 August, 2018

In 2018, SAMGUS will be hosting the quadrennial Nordic conference which traditionally has been hosted by its sister organizations in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, each year focusing on different relevant topics.

The conference‘s topics will cover nature, parks and green spaces, with an emphasis on an Icelandic perspective. The venue will be the Kaldalón hall in the Harpa Conference Centre, where the mornings will feature breakout sessions, while afternoons (on Wednesday and Thursday) will be devoted to field trips themed around each day‘s topic.

Registration is now open with early bird rates ending 15 May 2018. Included in the registration fee for participants: Attendance to all sessions, welcome reception at Reykjavík City Hall and lunches  & refreshments during the Congress.

The Ninth international Cities for Mobility Congress will take place under the title "New mobility and the transformation of cities" on 17-19 June 2018 at Stuttgart City Hall.

Public Parks and Gardens is the popular meeting place for private or public sector employees working with public parks and gardens. It offers inspiring lectures, exchanges of experiences and nice mingling, this time with the City of Helsingborg as the host.
